About

Our story

Cor Fibers officially started in 2024, but it’s been forming gradually over the past decade. A growing love of the fiber arts blossomed into a passion to keep these crafts alive, connecting the past to the future.

Lead Artist

Sharon DeCaro has been dabbling in all sorts of craft projects since she was a girl, starting with cross-stitch kits and friendship bracelets. She started working with yarn in college, when she first learned how to knit, and since then has taught herself how to crochet, weave, and spin. Sharon has been continuing to study these arts through organizations such as the Crochet Guild of America, which she continues to work with through the Northern Illinois chapter of the guild.

Her primary passion is finding a connection to the past and building on the legacy of artists that came before her.
